In Malaysia, I've been to a number of Japanese restaurants but I don't really see any of the restaurants with the Japanese feel - nor the restaurant is decorated in authentic Japanese theme. The outside of Syun Izakaya looks like any ordinary shops It is an eye opener for me to have a real "Japanese" dining experience at the Syun Izakaya during my last business trip to Oregon, United States. The restaurant really give me the feel that I was having my dinner in Japan, mainly because of the decoration - although I don't recall seeing the conveyer belt fetching sushi around the restaurant. I am not really a fan of the Japanese food but sometimes, I will also tolerate with the people whom I had dinner with. The other night when I went for dinner with Yen Leng, we decided to go for something that she like: Sakae Sushi. Well, the first thing that really impressed me was the service provided. Efficient and amazingly pleasant staff. The order was made immediately for the drink when we sit down and then, we could take our own time to order via the iPad available. The iPad was especially made to open only a single app, Sakae Sushi which was made to order and sent to Kitchen apparently.  The menu on the iPad.
