Grilled Chicken Ham at Yeolde English, Ipoh

Grilled chicken ham - served with wedges, salad and corn Having eaten so many times at Yeolde English, I think the grilled chicken ham that I had yesterday deserved a post in this blog. I will blog about Yeolde English in the future, now I will just blog about this food. Unlike previously, I will usually ordered grilled lamb with the red wine sauce, this round, I've ordered grilled chicken ham hoping that this will be the simplest meal and easiest to cook, thus getting served first, but unfortunately this is not the case - in fact, I got my servings last.

Tom Yum (Tom Yam) Noodles at Restoran Joo Heng at Raja Uda

Besides the famous tom yum or tom yam porridge and noodles just besides the Kwang Hwa School at Raja Uda , there is another restaurant selling exactly the same thing which is almost as famous as the one I went previously. Well, if you happen to pass by Raja Uda and the tom yum shop besides the Kwang Hwa happen to be close for business, well, it's alright as Restoran Joo Heng which is also along the road, is selling the same thing, almost as good as well. *Drool*..... this is the Tom Yum noodles that my friend ordered I cannot seems to find the name of the restaurant using my Garmin, so, we decided to set the destination at Kwang Hwa school and then continue along the main road until we see the Restoran Joo Heng sign board. We are also lucky that our food hunting plan is actually to try out the tom yum here as the one next to the Kwang Hwa school is closed.

Famous Bak Kut Teh at Good Master Bak Kut Teh at Bukit Mertajam

During the Awal Muharram holiday, my father and I have dinner in one of the famous Bak Kut Teh in Bukit Mertajam. The name of the Bak Kut Teh shop is the Good Master Bak Kut Teh. It is located at Taman Mutiara and after google for the place some time, the GPS location of the shop is at 5.360474,100.44463. It's a surprise to me that the Perodua GPS does not have this location in the POI, but anyway, since my father knows the area, we found it effortlessly. I heard from my dad that this is the "master",  while the shop, Bak Kut Teh Good Master Restoran which is located directly opposite to this was  his disciple last time, but now the other shop is slightly more popular, I did dine at that shop before and will blog about it in the near future. Bak Kut Teh - pic taken with my older Sony Ericsson K800 Casino Royale Ed, so it looks a bit dull.

[Wine Recipe] - Roselle Wine Recipe 24_11_2012

I was thinking to do something different for this blog during the weekend, and something pops up in my mind which is to post the wine recipe. There are so many wine recipe around that it will be too difficult to keep track and at the same time, I would love to blog about it, so that I can use the wine recipe that can provide me with the taste of the wine that I wanted in the future. Well, I can just treat it like another type of log book for this "experiment". Anyway, to make wine for home usage, it is not that tedious, just that you will need to have the correct recipe with the correct material, then voila, you can start making your own wine. Of course, for high volume production, it will be another story as it will involves a lot of machines and stuff like that. Roselle wine

Italian Cuisine at Limencello Pizza, Grill and Bar

My brother is the camera man, taking picture of us together before our dinner One of my most memorable food activity in Singapore is my dinner at the Limencello Pizza, Grill and Bar. From the name of it, one would have easily guess that this place is an Italian restaurants offering much more than just pizza,  as well as offers variety of liquors and wine. Not that we ordered any liquors, but the settings of the restaurant is just nice - right in front of the Robertson Bridge with the beautiful night river view - we manage to catch some of the pictures, but then again this is a food blog, so, I did not post the night river view around Robertson Quay. My turn to become the photographer, with most of our food together, behind is the Robertson Bridge Siblings - photographed taken by my brother's girlfriend. I like the settings of the restaurant, a lot. What I don't like really is just the service, which is not so superb - judging by the price tag...

Asian Delights at Toast Box

After the long walk and exploration at the Garden by the Bay, we decided that it would be nice to have our lunch somewhere nearby and well....as many of us can easily guess, the nearest popular landmark at Garden by the Bay is the Marina Bay Sands. Well, inside this mall, we have many choices of food outlet and restaurants from western food to Asian cuisines. Finally after a tiring walk of surveying around, we decided to have our lunch at a food outlet called the Toast Box, which has variety of Asian cuisines like the Bak Kut Teh or even the popular food around this region, nasi lemak. My brother and his girlfriend taking photo at Toast Box The shop has some of the European design, although it is selling mostly Asian cuisines. It's not really big, should be somewhere one small outlet size, with the kitchen in front, though I'm pretty confident that the hardcore cooking stuff will be done behind before the staff there take out the food to be served and displaye...
