Shallot Pepper Chicken at Smel's Cafe

I just posted Sumptuous Western Food at Beacon Point, Ipoh last week and my intention was not to post another western food until another few post, but I just been to this place at Chai Leng Park and the food that I had in this small western food cafe worth mentioning in this blog.

The cafe that I went earlier today is the Smel's Cafe, which is located in one of the residential area in Chai Leng Park - well, in fact, the cafe itself was a semi-detached house before converted and renovated into a small cafe. If you guys would like to know about the cafe, it is located at 20 Lebuhraya Kurau,Taman Chai Leng Perai, Pulau Pinang 13700.

Shallot pepper chicken......Yummy!!

The cafe is one cozy cafe and nicely renovated and of course it's air-conditioned. There is outdoor area where you can sit down and drinks with friends, but it's more appropriate during night time, where it is not so sunny and hot outside. I have a strong feeling at night the place will be more lively, can see that people might drop by to have a cup of beer or something like that.

Anyway, back to the food, I had a Shallot Pepper Chicken lunch meal set, which cost about RM15.90 + additional 5% service tax - so, if you were thinking of tipping, I guess the 5% should cover it already. The meal is served with the soup of the day, which I assume the soup that I had is the chicken soup, but I think they use the potato to make the soup looks creamy. The chicken, well, it is not really marinated, but the sauce make it up for the lack of it. We have potato wedges, and it taste nice as well. Overall, I would say that the food well made and the cafe seriously deserved to be mentioned in the blog.

[Wine Recipe] - Roselle Wine Recipe 24_11_2012

I was thinking to do something different for this blog during the weekend, and something pops up in my mind which is to post the wine recipe. There are so many wine recipe around that it will be too difficult to keep track and at the same time, I would love to blog about it, so that I can use the wine recipe that can provide me with the taste of the wine that I wanted in the future. Well, I can just treat it like another type of log book for this "experiment". Anyway, to make wine for home usage, it is not that tedious, just that you will need to have the correct recipe with the correct material, then voila, you can start making your own wine. Of course, for high volume production, it will be another story as it will involves a lot of machines and stuff like that. Roselle wine

Nestled in the vibrant district of Tyrwhitt Road, BistrOne36 has swiftly become a favorite spot for lovers of western cuisine and creative drinks. This new establishment, which has garnered an impressive 4.8-star rating on Google reviews, is the second outlet of the BistrOne36 family, following the successful opening of their first venue at Boon Keng. With an extensive menu boasting over 300 items, BistrOne36 offers an abundance of choices to satisfy every palate. A Culinary Adventure During my visit to BistrOne36, I had the opportunity to sample several dishes that showcased their culinary prowess. My meal began with a comforting Cappuccino priced at $5.90 and a rich Chocolate drink for $6.90. These beverages were the perfect way to ease into the dining experience, setting a warm and inviting tone. The star of the show, however, was the  Chicken Popcorn  ($9.90). This dish came highly recommended, and for good reason. Each bite-sized piece of chicken was perfectly crispy on...
