Breakfast at Tom and Toms Coffee at Tanjong Pagar, Singapore

I had my holiday in Singapore during the public holiday and throughout the last weekend with my siblings and the first day I reached Singapore, I parked my car in Tanjong Pagar area. Then my younger sister took us to one of the coffee joint, a bit similar to Starbucks or Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, but apparently this coffee joint is run by Koreans - which makes it a bit special than Starbucks and Coffee Bean. Not to mention, I never see this in Malaysia before, so, well, why not give it a try. So, we have our breakfast at Tom and Toms Coffee.

Tom and Toms Coffee

Overall, the environment is about the same like the usual coffee joint that we can see, the plus points for the Tom and Toms Coffee is that it is Wi-Fi zone. Yes, I know in Malaysia we have free Wi-Fi almost every Starbucks and Coffee Bean or even other smaller coffee joint, but in Singapore, it is not so easy to get free Wi-Fi.

Food wise and taste will be like the daily western style breakfast that we can get.  We ordered two different flavored sandwiches - tuna as well as eggs, well, that's the only two available for the day I visited this Tom and Toms Coffee outlet. The bread is not too hard, just feels right to have a bite or two. I feel that the tuna flavored sandwiches are juicy, however I cannot finish the egg flavored - the taste are not bad, just that I'm not the kind of person who enjoy eating scrambled eggs.

We also ordered two cups of latte, which surprisingly taste as good as the one we can get in Starbucks and it's refreshing after sipping in roughly one third cup of it. Honestly speaking, I was a bit tired and sleepy after the six hours drive from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, but after the cup of latte, I was no longer that sleepy anymore - not sure this is the psychology effect or the latte really that powerful.

[Wine Recipe] - Roselle Wine Recipe 24_11_2012

I was thinking to do something different for this blog during the weekend, and something pops up in my mind which is to post the wine recipe. There are so many wine recipe around that it will be too difficult to keep track and at the same time, I would love to blog about it, so that I can use the wine recipe that can provide me with the taste of the wine that I wanted in the future. Well, I can just treat it like another type of log book for this "experiment". Anyway, to make wine for home usage, it is not that tedious, just that you will need to have the correct recipe with the correct material, then voila, you can start making your own wine. Of course, for high volume production, it will be another story as it will involves a lot of machines and stuff like that. Roselle wine

The Wondrous of Jalan Yau Tet Shin

Jalan Yau Tet Shin It must be a surprise that I am blogging about a street in Ipoh, but this street is hard to be missed especially to those who stopped by Ipoh. Reason being, the Jalan Yau Tet Shin is famous for its mouthwatering hawker food and it is a must stop by area when someone passes the quiet town of Ipoh. In fact, one can easily see a lot of local tour buses stopping by for the people to dine and pack some of the local favourites confectioneries back home.
