Dinner at Sakae Sushi, AEON Station 18

I am not really a fan of the Japanese food but sometimes, I will also tolerate with the people whom I had dinner with. The other night when I went for dinner with Yen Leng, we decided to go for something that she like: Sakae Sushi.

Well, the first thing that really impressed me was the service provided. Efficient and amazingly pleasant staff. The order was made immediately for the drink when we sit down and then, we could take our own time to order via the iPad available. The iPad was especially made to open only a single app, Sakae Sushi which was made to order and sent to Kitchen apparently.

The menu on the iPad.

SAKAE SUSHI clearly written on the clipped on holder of the iPad.

After we made our order, we were made to confirmed orders

Well, this was impressive enough for me...a very efficient system for customers to make their order....

Alright, now about the food...hmmm...as I'm not someone who savour Japanese food, I might be a bit prejudice in my comment here but here is my 2 cents.

The main meal ordered by YenLeng here was pretty good....but I would said that it's too dry...but maybe that's how the Japs rice looks like. Not really my preference.

I ordered a noodle instead....the chicken tasted a bit funny to me but the soup was nice. I almost finished drinking it together with the noodle.

After that, we ordered some kids meal...which was pretty good.

I am not a fan of sushi but this kind of cute looking thing definitely help to open up my appetite. We managed to eat 1 of this each....tasted rather bad but was really cool.

There was not much difference for this either but we took our time to finish it as we were quite full by then. Honestly, as someone who is not a Japanese food fan, I can only said that I would come again if the people that I ate with wanted to go for Japs food. The food is not my preference but the service here was good and that would really make me come again. That night when we left, Yen Leng actually forgotten to take something when we left but the waiters actually brought it for us before we made our payment. The service was good enough for me to remember it even after weeks of being there. I went to another Sakae Sushi last few days and the service definitely is not as good as here, but that's another story...

[Wine Recipe] - Roselle Wine Recipe 24_11_2012

I was thinking to do something different for this blog during the weekend, and something pops up in my mind which is to post the wine recipe. There are so many wine recipe around that it will be too difficult to keep track and at the same time, I would love to blog about it, so that I can use the wine recipe that can provide me with the taste of the wine that I wanted in the future. Well, I can just treat it like another type of log book for this "experiment". Anyway, to make wine for home usage, it is not that tedious, just that you will need to have the correct recipe with the correct material, then voila, you can start making your own wine. Of course, for high volume production, it will be another story as it will involves a lot of machines and stuff like that. Roselle wine

Roast Tarragon Chicken at Alexis in Great Eastern Mall

Having lunch break in Alexis must an expensive one because the food portion that was served by the bistro and wine bar is not huge but it is a little bit expensive; although it is about the same as what you might be getting at The Apartment . Restoran New Twenty-Twenty [Jalan Pandan Indah]

It is not so easy to find good hawker food in Kuala Lumpur as compared to in Ipoh. Anyway, over the weekend, YenLeng and I went to this food court, known as "Restoran New Twenty-Twenty" in Jalan Pandan Indah and found it to be quite acceptable, especially since it's a rare chinese food that open for 24 hours. (FYI, there are quite a few of these food courts in the area so I'll probably frequent more of the others next time). Anyway, the first thing I noticed about the place was that it's not clean (quite similar to most of the chinese hawkers place) and the coffee ice here is horrible, just like most of the places in KL. I didn't even bother to take photo of the coffee and it's RM2.30 for a Ice Kopi, totally not worth it. Here's what I have though...."Ho Fun Ching Tong", or Kuey Teow soup with fish balls.  I don't think it's the best that I had since there are better ones in Ipoh but it's really quite good in comparison...
